Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Draft under review — the provider’s identification details are not filled in yet.
1. Who we are and acceptance
Kamaia is operated by [Nome completo ou denominação social do responsável], tax number (NIF) [NIF], located at [Morada completa, Luanda, Angola] (“Kamaia”, “we”).
These Terms govern the use of the Kamaia platform on the web (app.kamaia.cc) and in the iOS and Android apps. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these Terms. If you use Kamaia on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
Where a signed agreement or proposal exists between Kamaia and your organisation, its conditions prevail over these Terms to the extent they differ.
2. The service
Kamaia is a platform for contract lifecycle and legal project management: creating and importing contracts, versions, parties and entities, key dates and obligations, tasks, calendar, documents, internal communication, approvals and an AI assistant (Cibelle).
The service evolves: we may add, change or remove features. Where a change removes an essential feature of the contracted plan, we give reasonable advance notice.
3. Account, organisation and access
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts.
- Your account details must be accurate and kept up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for what is done with your account. We recommend two-step verification, which is mandatory for administrators.
- Organisation administrators decide who has access, with which role and to which contracts. The organisation is responsible for the access it grants, including to external collaborators.
- Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
4. Plans and payment
Access is provided under the plan contracted by the organisation, with the price, billing period and limits stated in it. Amounts are invoiced in kwanzas (AOA) unless otherwise agreed and can be paid by the methods available on the platform (for example, Multicaixa Express).
If an invoice is not paid on time, we notify the organisation. If non-payment persists, the subscription is suspended: data remains available to view, but creating or changing content is no longer possible until payment is made.
Price changes are announced in advance and apply from the next billing period.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for unlawful purposes or to process data without a legal basis;
- try to access other organisations’ data or bypass access controls;
- introduce malicious code, overload or disrupt the service;
- reverse engineer, scrape the platform or bypass technical limits;
- resell or sublicense access without written authorisation.
6. Your content and data
The contracts, documents and other content the organisation puts on Kamaia belong to the organisation. You grant us only the permission needed to host, process and display them as part of the service.
The organisation is responsible for the data it records, including third parties’ personal data (parties, representatives, contacts), and for having a legal basis to do so. For that data, Kamaia acts as a processor, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You can export the organisation’s data while the subscription is active. Deleting your personal account is available in the app and on the web.
7. Artificial intelligence and automatic suggestions
The Cibelle assistant, automatic data extraction and regulatory obligation suggestions are support tools. They may contain errors or be out of date and always require human confirmation.
Kamaia does not provide legal, tax or financial advice. Responsibility for decisions and contracts always lies with the organisation and its professionals.
8. Intellectual property
The platform, software, the Kamaia brand and the content we provide (including templates and clause libraries) belong to [Nome completo ou denominação social do responsável] or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights; they grant only a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service during the subscription.
9. Availability and support
We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available and secure, and carry out maintenance preferably outside Angolan business hours. Guaranteed service levels (SLA) apply only when stated in the plan or agreement.
Support is provided by email (legal@kamaia.cc) and through the channels stated in the contracted plan.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Angolan law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profits or loss of opportunity, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid by the organisation in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it.
These limitations do not apply to damage caused wilfully or with gross negligence, nor do they exclude rights that the law does not allow to be excluded.
11. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time (in the app: More → Delete my account; on the web: Settings → Security). The organisation can end the subscription under the terms of its plan.
We may suspend or terminate access in case of a serious breach of these Terms, a risk to the security of the service or other customers, or a legal obligation. Except in urgent cases, we give advance notice and an opportunity to remedy.
When the subscription ends, the organisation may request an export of its data before deletion.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes are announced on the platform or by email at least 30 days in advance; using the service after that date means accepting the new version.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Angola. The courts of Luanda have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to applicable mandatory rules.
